Voice Alert System-A Different Kind Of Home Security System

Click for more details

The voice alert system is a different kind of home security system called an “annunciator”because if there’s motion in a protected area it announces a pre-recorded message in the base unit located inside the home or business.

The system comes with one passive infrared transmitter that can protect a 40′ x 40′ area and transmit to a receiver 1000 feet away in open space and 300 feet away through walls. The system will support up to six of these transmitters.

For each zone in the Voice Alert System you record a separate message that can be 6 1/2 seconds long. When motion is detected in that area the message is played back inside the house on the base unit. The message could be “someone is in the pool area” or “someone is approaching in the driveway” just give you an idea of the possibilities. It is a very effective system that can be used for both home security and business security.

Shocking Way To Prevent Home Invasion-Safety Tip Of The Week

CLICK For More INFO

Our safety tip of the week-the easiest way to avoid a home invasion. Why?

There has been a huge surge of home invasions. It seems to be the crime of choice any more for druggies.

As recently as four years ago the term was barely in its’ infancy; hardly a soul had heard of it. By way of explanation “home invasion” is a term coined by police departments to describe a home burglary when the occupants are home. As you may know most burglaries happen when the occupants are gone.

Since the possibility of a confrontation is drastically heightened, the odds of injury or death to the occupants go way up. Not to mention the old saying of ‘man’s home is his castle’ the occupants are violated by the perps in a home invasion.

That’s what is so scary about these crimes-the very real possibility of assault, injury, rape, or even death to you and members of your inner sanctum-your family.

Believe it or not 90% of all home invasions are preventable according to police experts. Of all crimes 17%, or one out of six a home was entered by the bad guys. A burglary happens every 15 seconds. AND perhaps the most important stat is this: The average burglar will spend no more than 2 minutes trying to get in.

Just think about it. If you can find a way to keep the bad guys out for two minutes chances are pretty good they’ll find another target.

NOW THE SHOCKER!  Most home invasions happen right thru the front door. Seriously! Either the occupants open the door or the door is forced open. No matter-THE FRONT DOOR. I mean c’mon what is the peephole for?

Are you one of those trusting folks (like I used to be) that when you answer the doorbell or a knock at the door you automatically open it? Be Honest. Once you open the door an inch or two it doesn’t take much to force it open all the way.

Make sure you have a peephole and deadbolt locks that you actually lock and if possible solid hardwood doors. And last but not least your home should have at least two maybe three locations (one by the front door) where you keep non lethal self defense weapons such as pepper sprays, stun guns, or maybe even a C2 Taser.

Remember that the home intruder, like the burglar, has three big enemies light, sound, and time. The more obstacles you can put in his way the safer your home will be. For sure keep your front door locked and don’t open it until you know who it is.

Home Security With Cheap Security Cameras

It is just a proven fact that one of the major deterrents in preventing home burglary and home invasions is a security camera. If a burglar home invader sees a security camera outside your home he will pick on somebody else. Isn’t that what you want?

Most people wouldn’t even think of getting a security camera for their home because they think they’re too expensive. How does $50 sound?

If your home security isn’t worth $50 there is something wrong.

The Video Patrol Camera is one of the least expensive ways that you can beef up your home security with a security camera. It can take still pictures and video and has no night vision capability, so you need a motion activated spotlight for it to work at night. But the infrared sensor only takes pictures when there’s motion in front of the camera.

It is a great way to catch somebody if they’re doing damage to your car or home.

Home Security-Best Two Ways To Stop Home Burglary And Home Invasions

Many police officials believe that home burglary and home invasions are on the increase now because of the economy. Most other categories of crime are on the decline but not home invasions and home burglaries.

There was an interesting story not long ago from a Fox news affiliate about the Castle doctrine. The Castle doctrine allows gun owners to defend themselves in their cars and businesses along with their homes from an armed assailant in a home invasion. You can read the whole story HERE.

If home invaders and home burglars know that they may be walking into a home where the homeowners are armed and can defend themselves, I guarantee you that those two categories of crime will go on the decline.

The other way that you can stop home burglary and home invasion is by getting a security camera.

The pan and tilt Home Security Camera once it is hooked up, allows you to see who is at your front door from your TV screen. So no more surprises when you open the door. It is also a proven fact that burglars when they see a home security camera will move onto another home.

With the holidays rapidly approaching many are still doing their shopping. Here for the last time are our Holiday Shopping Safety Tips.

Home Invasion-Saved By The Dog

Last week there was what seemed like an unbelievable story in the news about a couple that rescued a dog and then a few hours later the dog saved a couple. Here is the WHOLE STORY in case you missed it.

It just happened to be a St. Bernard-my favorite breed of dog.

The burglar had cut the phone lines into the house and was getting ready to get into the house when all of a sudden the dog chased the burglar out of the yard. The couple only had the dog for a few hours before he turned the tables and rescued them from a home invasion that could have been ugly.

Story shows in real-life terms how effective having a dog can be to protect your home. A lot of people don’t want to be bothered with all the trouble dog ownership presents feeding, walking, cleaning up, etc. you know what I mean.

That’s where the Electronic Watchdog comes in. It is one of the most effective home security alarms there is. Just plug it in and aim it in the direction you want to protect. It covers a one hundred degree field of view up to 20 feet away. If anyone enters that protected area the sound of an angry barking dog starts. Don’t mess with a barking dog!

Home Security Cameras-Best Two Models

More homeowners are becoming security conscious these days as the number of burglaries and home invasions increases. After all, doesn’t it make sense to protect a $200,000 investment with a security camera that may cost as little as $300? Of course it does. Many security cameras these days can be less than that.

When you go shopping for a home security camera there are a few things you should take into consideration before you make your purchase. One of them is whether you want to view your home from another location. That is called remote viewing and not all cameras have that capability. IP cameras do have remote viewing capability and that is what makes them so popular for residential surveillance and home security in general.

Of the thousands of home security cameras on the market today here are two of the best models that offer you amazing results.

The first is the IP wireless motion security camera. It can be used for residential surveillance, business surveillance, home security, as a nanny camera or automobile security. It turns your PC into a DVR with remote Internet viewing capability and motion alarms. When properly installed, once the camera detects motion the computer gives off buzzing sound alerts. This advanced technology eliminates cordless phone interference so it can send color digital images without wires to your monitor.

But the most popular is the pan tilt Color Security Camera with remote. This weatherproof camera has an automatic pan button that allows for 180° left or right or 180° up-and-down and has night vision capability of 16 feet with six LEDs. The camera comes with 66 feet of flexible cable. As a home invasion prevention tool, this camera is the best there is.

Once it is hooked up this camera allows you to see who is outside your home or office by turning on your TV. It is frost proof to a -5° and is designed to work on any TV. The panning capability allows the camera to turn once and stay in that position for 5 seconds and then rotate five times. It has a built-in microphone so you can hear outdoors too.

While this camera can be used indoors it mainly used for outdoor security and can be used for commercial applications such as a retail store or warehouse.

When you need to see who is outside your house, even at night, this camera makes it possible.

Safety Tip Of The Week-Home Invasion Prevention Tips

The term home burglary is familiar to everybody. But the term home invasion is a relatively new concept. It refers to a burglary that takes place when the occupants are home. Normal burglaries take place when the occupants are gone. Thus the chance for confrontation in the perpetration of other crimes like rape, assault and murder is drastically heightened.

According to police statistics 90% of all home burglaries are preventable. The average burglar will spend no more than 2 minutes trying to get into a house. So if you can keep the bad guys out of your house for 2 minutes chances are they’ll pick on another target.

Most home invasions happen right through the front door. So tip number one is to keep your doors locked at all times even when you’re at home. The second tip to prevent a home invasion is to use your peephole. If you don’t have one, get one. Know who is at your front door before you let them in.

Don’t be like I used to be and reflexively open your front door when somebody rings your doorbell. See who is there first. Once your door is opened an inch it’s easy for the bad guys to force their way in.

And the third tip is always keep some Self Defense Products around the house like a stun gun or a pepper spray or both-just in case.

Why Home Invasions Are So Dangerous

Almost all home invasions end in some form of violence. You see it and read about it practically every day. And here’s a perfect EXAMPLE.

Burglaries are committed by one person who is unarmed. Burglars choose to do their work when they know that the home owners are not there Home invasions are usually committed by two or more people who are almost always armed. Home invaders to their work when the homeowners are home.

That is why they are so dangerous. The chances of bodily injury to the homeowner and his family are substantially increased.

One of the best ways to prevent a home invasion is to have a Home Security Camera outside your front and back door. With this type of camera you can see was at your front door on your television screen without leaving your living room. If you don’t know who is at your front door obviously don’t let them in.

If you suspect foul play is imminent, the extra time afforded with a security camera may save your life by giving you time to call the police department.
